ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) in collision route
This article was published by a magazine called Lan Times in February of 1995. At the time several technologies were competing to be the next standard in high speed data transmission, and ATM required an overhaul of the entire infrastructure to be in place. We all know by now that ATM did not take off as were expected and new standards have replaced it. Back in 1995 this was very difficult to predict and the objective of the article was to give the reader an overview of the pros and cons that deploying ATM could cause on their networks. I was the Marketing Manager for the BBRS Group at the time.

Interconnect 94 - Bridges and Routers, The link between networks and Telecommunications
Was invited to present at Interconnect 94, a congress dedicated to the computer networks interoperability, my presentation was about "Bridges and Routers, The link between networks and Telecommunications". Very fresh subject in 1994, the idea was to give the audience a grasp of the growing power of electronic communications and the new devices needed to make it happen. At the time although with more responsibilities I was the Marketing Manager of the BBRS Group.

Exponet 94 - Workgroup Computing and Other Productivity Tools in a Networked Environment
I was invited to give a presentation at Exponet in March of 1994, at the time I was the Marketing Manager at the BBRS Group, the theme of my presentation was: " Workgroup Computing and Other Productivity Tools in a Networked Environment". I recall it being a very large event with 800 people attending my presentation, at 26 years old needless to say that I was scared that day, ended up with a 4.2 score out of 5 in the attendees evaluation.

New Generation Applications
Article published at a Magazine called Infoview in March 1994, describing the new applications that were become available as the networks started to be deployed within the companies. The idea of the article was to give a start on these new applications, thus allowing our company to help more customers to set up their own networks in order to use these new technologies. I was the Marketing Manager at the BBRS Group at the time that I wrote this article.

New Technological Trends in Data Communications
Articled published in September of 1993 in the Byte Magazine discussing the new trends in data communications where discussing the conceptual ISO/OSI layer model, I explain what is coming in each one of those 7 layers, very extensive article, two pages wide, presented in a way that could guide IT Managers on what to do or expect to do from the physical layer all the way to the new generation of applications that were poised to take advantage of a more robust and fast network infrastructure. I was the Marketing Manager of the BBRS Group at the time.

In the Age of Connectivity
The time was August 1996, the computer networks were booming in Brazil and we had a huge issue with the telcos which would provide very low bandwidth to enterprises and the development of the WAN's were hampered. In this report, which I was interviewed that's exactly my point of view at the moment. It was published by Computerworld Brazil on a special segment. At the time I was the General Manager for Latin America at ODS (Optical Data Systems).

Early work on the Computer Networks Space from 1993 through 1996
Was in my office looking at some papers and found a portfolio of articles that I wrote and presentations that I had given between 1993 and 1996. Not all published material is included and I miss not saving all of it. At that time the Internet was not what it is today and there were no online signs of this work on the Internet, thus I decided to make it public for the current and the generations to come. It is in Portuguese and I am planning to translate it into English sometime in the future. Stay tuned for the next few posts where I am going to translate at least the Title and an abstract of what the article means, as well where it was publicized back then.
